The Institute for Telecommunications Research at the University of聽 South Australia has a position vacant聽 for a Research Fellow in the area of dedicated short range communications.

The Research Fellow will conduct theoretical and applied research in聽 physical layer wireless communications methods for Dedicated Short Range Communications聽 (vehicle鈥恡o鈥恦ehicle and vehicle鈥恡o鈥恑nfrastructure). The project focuses on the innovative聽 use of multiple antennas, channel modelling, coding and signal processing techniques to increase聽
reliability, throughput, and coverage of vehicular ad鈥恏oc networks.聽 The main task is to devise improved聽 transmission strategies with an emphasis on efficiency, simplicity, and scalability to allow for practical implementation. Of particular interest is integration with vehicle positioning systems聽 such as GPS and radar.

The project is in collaboration with Cohda Wireless Pty Ltd.
