The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Cruz is looking聽for a Postdoc in the area of Information theory and security. The candidate will work with UCSC Professor Hamid Sadjadpour. The appointment will be for a period of 12 months, renewable by mutual agreement聽for another year. Review of 聽applications will continue until the position is filled.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have
鈥 PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields from a reputable聽university,
鈥 Strong publication record,
鈥 Background in information theory, security, encryption techniques, and strong mathematical聽background,
鈥 Strong written and oral communication skills,
In addition to the above qualifications, it is highly desirable that the candidate has
鈥 Prior research experience in security,
鈥 Familiarity with provable secure cryptosystem techniques.
